The Faculty Dashboard in Workday offers a "View My Teaching Schedule", which allows faculty to locate their exam schedules. The Registrar's Office also has a list of exam times for the courses that are required to be tested under NYSED regulations. Final exams for classes that are held in the evenings are scheduled for the regular class time of the final examination weeks.

Registration

The exam schedule is accessible on the internet, and students are encouraged to look it up. However it is important to note that the final exam schedule may change at any time. For this reason, students should consult with their instructors to ensure that they have the correct date and time for their test. Students should be certain to print the official list and bring it for their exams.

In addition to the exam schedule, students must familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines and conditions and terms. These can be found on the page for each exam. Students acknowledge having read and agree to the terms and conditions of registration.

Exam sites try their best to accommodate participants who have special requirements. The nature and extent of these needs must be noted on the registration form, and then confirmed by a doctor's attestation. Additionally the exam sites must respect and maintain confidentiality.

If a student is scheduled to take three examinations scheduled for the same day it is suggested to contact their instructor or department to arrange an exam to make up. It is possible to have three examinations on the same day. However, this could result in a lot of stress and impact the quality of the exam. Additionally, the professor may not be able to offer a makeup exam on another day.

Students should review the course material prior to taking the exam and practice their German skills. The exam is a paper test that measures your ability to read, speak, and write German. The examination results are reported on a scale of A1 to C2. Students who pass the exam are awarded the Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate certifies that the student has achieved the level of language A1. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competency set out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The test is free. Students must bring an official government ID to the exam. Students who do not have a valid picture ID will be disqualified.

Fees

If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to receive an Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you must pay the examination fee. This is in addition to the course fees.

Practice assessments allow you to get familiar with the format, wording, and difficulty of the questions on the test. They let you assess your proficiency, identify areas of knowledge that aren't covered and increase your chances of passing the test.

It is important to note that the exam fee isn't refundable. Exam results can only be electronically sent, not via phone.
